Billy the Exterminator
Billy the Exterminator is all new tonight on A&E at 8:30 central standard time. I have to say that his is one show that you accidentally stumble upon one night while flipping through the channels and you become engrossed with the whole concept of the show and you can NOT take your eyes off of it. If you have not watched Billy the Exterminator it is appointment TV or at least TiVo it and watch it later! Billy the Exterminator is about a family of Exterminators in Louisiana. The show consists of Billy his brother Ricky his dad "Big" Bill his mother Donnie, and his wife Mary. So how did I stumble upon this show? My mom and dad actually hooked my three year old daughter on Billy the Exterminator. How do I know that my three year old daughter is hooked on Billy the Exterminator? For this blog I was trying to think of what Billy's mother's name was and I couldn't think of it. So what do I do? I ask my three year old daughter and without hesitation she replies "Donnie". I proceeded to ask her trivia questions about the show in which she answered every single question correct. My daughter was also asked to name a community helper at daycare and what does she reply? Billy. Her teacher took her to the front office to get the head lady to explain to her that Billy the Exterminator was not a community helper, but the head lady actually told my daughter that in some cases she was actually right! How about that! So what makes this show worth watching? I think it has a little bit of Steve Irwin crocodile hunter to it. Why do I watch? I really think I watch to see what is going to attack Billy or Ricky next. Is it bad that I always like it when a bee, raccoon, snake, or even crocodile attacks them? My FAVORITE episode so far has to be when Billy is called out to a zoo like farm to catch mice in the workers house. Everything goes smooth on the first day of this assignment. Billy does his inspection and sets all his mouse traps. On the second day he goes back to clear all the traps with this brother Ricky by his side. As he is going through the house clearing all the traps he makes it to the bedroom of one of the workers. He lays down to clear one of the traps under a dresser when all the sudden he JUMPS up screaming. Attached to his hand is a LONG SNAKE!!! The girl that lives there RUNS screaming SNAKE out of the room and Billy is screaming for his brother Ricky. Billy tries to get the snake off his hand but fails. Ricky rushes in and is able to remove the snake from his brother's hand. Billy is needless to say FREAKED OUT!!! He keeps asking Ricky is it poisonous???? Do I need medical attention??? After several seconds Ricky tells Billy that he should be ok because this is just a KING snake and that is NOT poisonous. This episode lets you in on just how dangerous this job can be, but at the same time you almost want to tune in to see what in the world is going to attack either Billy or Ricky next! Review 5 out of 5 KITKATS!!! This is MUST see TV!!!! Please your thoughts or comments on Billy the Exterminator

WWE
The WWE is holding a three hour live RAW event tonight for their King of the Ring event on the USA Network (check your local cable and satellite providers for channels). What has happened to the WWE? I remember back in the late 1990s when the Monday Night Wars were are the rage. Do you remember Monday Night Nitro? So what started the raged back in the 90s? It was one little pay per view event called BASH AT THE BEACH in which Hulk Hogan turned "BAD" and created a little thing called the NWO (New World Order). Hogan who was a goody too shoes for all the 80s was suddenly the worse of the worse and NO one could believe it!!? How could Hulk Hogan turn on all his little Hulkamania fans? It was pure ratings GOLD! A clever move by the WCW at the time. People would watch every Monday night to see A. what Hogan and the NWO would do and B. if it was going to be this week that Hogan would go back to his yellow tights and be a good guy again! To compete with WCW the WWE soon caught up with WCW with he likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and DX and they eventually went on to buy WCW.
When the WWE bought the WCW this marked the beginning of the end for the Monday night WARS and the end of a GREAT run for Wrestling. WWE's purchase of the WCW might have been the worse move the WWE could have done for the success of their own company. With that single purchase their was NO more competition to win Monday night or even Thursday night (now Friday night), and they flooded their own company with to many wrestlers in one company. The WWE did have some success but eventually they had to create three versions of the WWE to make all the new wrestlers work with RAW on Monday night, ECW on Tuesday night and Smackdown on Thursday night (which was later moved to Friday night). After Stone Cold Steve Austin stopped wrestling, The Rock leaving for a movie career, and the demise of DX the WWE was left without any real gimmicks. WWE has tried to bring newcomers like John Cena, Randy Orton, and Chris Jericho to the front of the company with success, but yet still lacking what I call the NWO/Hogan turning bad factor. I think the WWE has realized these lacking factors over the last year with the introduction of the Nexus. Did they have a working formula? Was the Nexus the second coming of the NWO? Almost. John Cena this generations Hulk Hogan was forced to join the Nexus yet the WWE FAILED to make CENA the bad guy. The WWE got it wrong!!! CENA should have turned to the Nexus. Cena should have become the bad guy like Hogan did. If the WWE had made CENA the bad guy viewers would have tuned in for the same reasons viewers had tuned into see Hogan and the NWO!
So what has the WWE got going for it right now? The WWE finally got something right by making The Miz the Champion. I think the Miz is the future of the WWE. He is very confident and a very well-spoken individual that can cause trouble for the WWE. The Miz needs a group like DX, the Nexus, or even the NWO to join him. It is a proven fact that groups have ALWAYS worked better for a storyline in wrestling anyway. But the question remains has the WWE lost its MOJO??? Right now I would say for you to TIVO Monday Night RAW so you can FAST FORWARD through most of the BORING storyline right now. Please leave your comments and questions - Has the WWE lost its MOJO???

Leslie Nielsen
Sad news to report tonight that Leslie Nielsen has died in Flordia at age 84. One of the very first movies that I remember growing up was Airplane! In fact it was on TV just the other day. Leslie Nielsen was an actor that did not care to make fun of himself and that is what made him great. Besides Airplane Nielsen also starred in the Naked Gun series as well. Leslie Nielsen dead at age 84. Please leave your comments and thoughts about the late actor and what role made you laugh the most.
NCIS
The USA Network is currently airing season seven of NCIS through 11pm Central Standard Time tonight (check your local cable or satellite providers to see if you get the USA Network and for channel listings). NCIS has proved over the years why they are a ratings hit. Mark Harmon's character Leroy Jethro Gibbs better known as just "Gibbs" will be one of those characters that will go down in TV lore like Archie Bunker. Did you know that NCIS actually is a spin off from the long running NBC/CBS hit JAG (Judge Advocate General). NCIS has also has produced its on spin off NCIS Los Angeles.
NCIS started out rocky but really picked up a following around season five. NCIS works for several reasons. NCIS has a GREAT cast that makes the show a hit. The chemistry between the characters makes the viewers want to watch because it is so believable to think that this group actually works together and generally like each other as a family should.
Gibbs’s team is composed of Special Agent and Senior Field Agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Probationary Special Agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo). Gibbs and Tony have your basic father-son relationship on the show. This was proven when Gibbs suddenly retired leaving Tony in charge of the team at the end of season three giving viewers an insight on how Gibbs always knows everything by watching how DiNozzo learns about everything before his team tells him making him very much like Gibbs. DiNozzo and McGee have a GREAT brotherly relationship that would almost make you think that they are indeed brothers (they are NOT though). DiNozzo and Ziva have this love hate relationship that makes my think of the 1980s hit "Moonlighting". The question that many NCIS fans want to know is "will they or won't they" get together. My guess is that they will and it will be long before the show ends. Other characters that make the show a hit are Chief Medical Examiner Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), Medical Assistant Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen), and Forensic Specialist Abigail Abby" Sciuto (Pauley Perrette).
Should you watch NCIS? Yes. NCIS is a great show and the reason you know that it's a GREAT show is because it has only gotten better over time and that's something that you CAN see in the ratings. NCIS broke into the top 10 in the TV ratings by the end of season four and now in season eight is in the top five weekly.
